Caregivers coming to Canada from various foreign countries can now apply for Canadian Permanent Residence ship. Also, two new pilot programs are launched. These are- the Home Child Care Provider Pilot and the Home Support Worker Pilot. The underlying two new pilot programs will evaluate the caregivers for permanent residence ship before they come to Canada. Endorsed caregivers will get an occupation-specific work grant to change employers without applying for another work license. Likewise, life partners and customary law accomplices of caregivers will be permitted open work licenses. The dependent children can avail study grants. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada
The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), when the caregivers have their work license and work experience of minimum two years. They can approach a direct pathway to become a permanent resident. The qualification criteria and application process for the new pilots will be avialable before the termination on November 29, 2019, states IRCC.
These experimental runs projects will trade the Caring for Children and Caring for People with High Medical Needs pilots, which have been criticized for keeping a few specialists stuck in harsh working environments and separated from their families abroad. The Liberal government in 2014 marked these new pilots as inadequate.
The administration expresses that the changes made in 2014 were not evident. Caregivers found that they were not qualified for permanent residence under a current program. Canada’s Minister of Immigration, Ahmed Hussein stated, “Caregivers provide care to families in Canada that need it. Now it’s time for Canada to care for them in return. Qualifications to apply for PR
To be qualified, caregivers need to meet all the accompanying conditions:
• While filing the application form, the caregivers can work in Canada on a work permit.
• They can reside in any province or territory besides Quebec.
• Since November 30, 2014, they must have gained at least one year of full-time Canadian work experience in an eligible caregiver occupation [NOC] 4411 and NOC 4412 for professions other than housekeeper
• They meet the minimum education requirement.
• They fit the minimum language proficiency requirement
The new Home Child Care Provider pilot and the Home Support Worker pilot will start soon. It will have a limit of 2,750 foremost candidates each, for a sum of 5,500 primary candidates for every year.
